Bluhm, Patricia J. (Patty)
Passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Longview, WA. She was born on February 9, 1945 in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Holy Names Academy in 1963.
Patty lived life to the fullest. Although she battled many health issues, that didn't stop her from doing the things she delighted in. George and Patty took many trips and some of her favorites were Vienna, Austria, Berchtesgaden, Germany, and Devonport, New Zealand. Patty was treasurer and secretary to Polar Farm Incorporated and enjoyed harvesting and selling the produce she grew.
She was a wonderful baker and loved to cook. Patty and her granddaughter entered the Clark County Fair and won several awards for her famous pie crust and her pistachio nut bundt cake.
When she wasn't in the kitchen or working on the farm, you could find her in a Nordstrom Department store, browsing for clothes and having lunch in their cafe. Patty loved what she called "gizzies"(dust collectors). She would always begin her shopping trip with "What gizzies can't I live without today"! She was very thoughtful and generous and always thinking of others. Whenever someone was getting married, having a baby or celebrating a birthday, you could always count on receiving a gift or a card. Patty enjoyed a good maple bar, Baileys in her coffee and her favorite ice cream, Haagen-Daz Bars. She definitely had a sweet tooth and never turned down the chance to have something to satisfy her craving. The beach home George and Patty shared in Ocean Park, WA was one of her favorite places to spend time. Patty is survived by her husband, George, of 37years, her daughter, Diane and Granddaughter, Amanda, her stepdaughters, Jennifer and Tanya, step grandchildren, Andrew, Katherine, Jaclyn, Karen-Ann and Craig. As well as numerous friends and close loved ones.
