Timothy Eugene Lucas

May 27, 1979 — December 15, 2021

Timothy Eugene Lucas, 42, passed away unexpectedly December 15, 2021, at his home in Kelso, Wash.

Tim was born May 27, 1979, in Longview, Wash., to William and Cynthia Lucas.

He graduated from Ocosta High School in Westport, Wash., in 1998, and chose the life of a commercial fisherman; working at numerous fisheries and on many commercial fishing vessels on the west coast and Alaskan waters for more than two and a half decades.

For the last six years, he lived with his gramma in Kelso, so that he could remain closer to the facility he was required to visit for treatment of his failing kidneys.

Obviously, one of Tim’s favorite outdoor activities was fishing. His love of fishing began as a little boy catching fish off his Gramma and Grampa’s property on the Cowlitz River in Toledo, Wash. He also enjoyed four wheeling with his son, Talon, and friends; and prospecting for gold with his parents and other family members.

Tim is greatly loved and missed by his son, Talon James Lucas; stepson, Trenton Barklow; parents, William and Cynthia; gramma, Sandra Miller- Brusco; brother, Nick and his wife, Nicole; sisters, Melissa and Frances Lucas; half-sisters, Ember Barnett and Justine Barnes; uncle Eugene L. Miller, Jr.; aunt, Danielle; two great- aunts; one great uncle; numerous nieces and nephews; and many fishing pals.

Services will begin at 1 PM Saturday, February 26, at Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Immediately following the chapel service, interment will take place at Lone Hill Cemetery in Toledo. All are welcome to join Tim’s family following interment at Fir Lawn’s Hospitality Room for refreshments and sharing memories.
