Bill was born in Pickens County, South Carolina. His parents were Roy Dacus and Pearl Elizabeth (Chappell) Reeves. He had one sister, Betty, and five brothers: Roy, Ralph (deceased), Sam, Aaron (deceased), and Don.
He attended Westport and Clatskanie schools, graduating from high school in 1958. While in college, he was drafted into military service and sent to Korea. After two years in the Army, he went to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida where he met Evealie Painter. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA degree from Southeastern University in 1968.
He and Evealie were married June 9th,1968 and then pastored four years in Elgin, Oregon. Later they lived in Venezuela and Chile where they served as missionaries. After returning to the United States he travelled as an evangelist and then taught Spanish at Salem Academy in Salem, Oregon. In later years, he worked and retired as a deputy sheriff with Columbia County, Oregon. Bill's hobbies were photography, fishing, hunting, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Evealie, of 57 years (21,016 days), four children (Billy, Stephanie, Christy, and Angela), 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
