Elizabeth “Beth” Delagrange
April 27, 1965 – August 10, 2025
Elizabeth “Beth” Delagrange, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Longview, Washington, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 27, 1965, in Longview, WA, to Therman Pellham Sr. and Salvatora Deluca (Pellham), Beth was raised in the lush countryside of Rainier, Oregon. She spent her childhood on Pellham Hill Road, where she and her many siblings roamed 80+ acres of forest and farmland. Her deep love for nature, animals—especially horses—and the outdoors was rooted in those early years and remained a guiding force throughout her life.
Beth’s journey took her from the Pacific Northwest to California, where she met her first husband, William Richard. Together, they moved across the country to Jamestown and Newport, Rhode Island, where she fell in love with the coastal charm and historic beauty of the East Coast. There, she gave birth to her first two sons, William “Bill” and Therman Richard, and built lasting friendships. Whether cruising around Beavertail, enjoying beach picnics, or soaking in the ocean breeze, Beth embraced the rhythm of coastal life.
Eventually, life brought her back to her roots in Oregon and Washington. She remarried to Mathew Delagrange and welcomed two more sons, Matthew “Matty” and Charles “Charlie” Delagrange, and became a stepmother to Dallas and Kelsey Delagrange. She made her home once again in Longview, WA, where she found joy in the natural splendor of Mt. St. Helens, the Columbia River, and quiet river beaches where she and her family would spend adventurous days.
Beth was a devoted mother to her four sons and cherished every moment with them. Her love extended to her granddaughter, Blake Richard, who affectionately called her “Grandma Washington.” Together, they built gardens, played in parks, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
A woman of many talents, Beth was a gifted cook, seamstress, server, and homemaker. She held dear her mother’s Sicilian spaghetti sauce recipe and was known for her exceptional creativity in the kitchen, often spending days planning meals which never disappointed. At the same time, she could whip together anything delicious in minutes from scraps. Her creativity extended into her sense of style—transforming thrifted and natural treasures into beautiful home décor. Her work at Ru de France in Newport, RI, even saw her handmade curtains, dresses and quilts featured in films. Her style was unmistakable, her spirit resourceful, and her presence unforgettable.
Beth’s love for music could be enjoyed by the household and neighbors alike. Her family will pass on her favorite songs for generations. Road trips, and the simple joys of life made her a light to those around her. She remained close to many of her siblings throughout her life, and her connection to family and nature was unwavering.
She is survived by her sons William, Therman, Matthew, and Charles; her daughter-in-law Molly; her granddaughter Blake; and many of her beloved siblings. She now joins her parents, Therman Sr. and Salvatora, in eternal peace.
Elizabeth Delagrange’s legacy is one of love, resilience, creativity, and deep connection to the earth and her family. She will be missed beyond words.
We love you, Mom.
